INVITE: Granville Views Walk (Sun, Oct 29)
Walk and talk to learn about the threatened Granville public mountain views
This upcoming Sunday, Oct 29 at 11am, we’re hosting a views walk of the threatened Granville public mountain views.
These are the view cones that Councillor Peter Meiszner claimed “are only visible from a moving vehicle…It’s just a second you can see them,” even though there’s a massive council-approved Granville Bridge pedestrianization project happening soon, and that the bridge is actually a Trip Advisor walking destination for tourists precisely because of the beautiful views.
Let’s show Meiszner and the rest of city council that people do walk on the bridge and enjoy the public mountain views.
Join a view walk and talk with CityHallWatch’s Stephen Bohus, BLA, on Sunday, Oct 29 at 11am. We’ll start at Granville x W Broadway and make our way across the Granville St Bridge to take some photos of the threatened view cones. We’ll end the tour with a social at Wicked Cafe to talk about how we can save our public mountain views.
Where: Meet at Blenz Coffee at Granville x W Broadway
Date: Sunday, Oct 29
Time: 11am
